Recommended tools: Painters tape, pencil, level, included wiper tool, utility knife, 6 in. or larger joint knife

  1. Clean and Smooth: Ensure your wall is clean, smooth, and dry. Wall murals won't hide textures, holes, nails, or other markings. We recommend filling any holes and sanding any imperfections, as they will show through your mural once installed.
  1. Unpack and unroll: Unpack and unroll the panels of your wall mural. Lay them out in order from left to right, with panel 1 being the left-most panel.

Installation Prep

  1. Measure the width of panel 1.
  2. Within 2 feet of the top of your wall, mark a vertical guideline that is approximately 1.5 inches shorter than the width you measured on panel 1.
  3. Mark a 2nd vertical guideline halfway down the wall, and a 3rd guideline near the bottom of your wall.
  4. Use your level to extend these guidelines so they are 6”-8” long.

Installation

  1. Align the right side of panel one to the vertical guidelines from the last step. Hold the panel so it extends approximately 1.5” past the top of your wall.
  2. Apply painters tape to the edge of your mural in various intervals to hold it in position.
  3. Double-check to make sure the right side of your panel still aligns with the vertical guidelines that were made earlier.

Applying

  1. From the top of the mural, peel back 3”-6” of the backing material to expose the sticky side of panel 1.
  2. Crease the backing material to ensure it lays flat, and apply the sticky side to the wall. Using the wiper included with your order, fully apply the first 3”-6” of your wall mural.
  3. Once the top of panel 1 is correctly applied, you can remove the rest of the painters tape.
  4. Peel away the rest of the backing from panel 1 and continue to apply panel 1 from the top-down using the wiper provided with your order to ensure smooth application.

Once you have completed panel 1, you will repeat the same steps for the rest of the panels.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Each panel will overlap the panel to it’s left by 1 inch to ensure a seamless fit.

After your mural is installed, you may have one final step to complete.

If your wall mural is wall-to-wall and floor-to-ceiling, you may have excess material around the edges of the wall mural.

Removing excess material:

  1. Hold your joint knife against the edge of the mural and remove the excess material with your utility knife
  2. Once cut, the excess material; should pull away from the wall easily.
